Your Ancient Strength DVD & Audio Interrogation has given me some great ideas on how to train my wrestlers. 

I have already got a couple of them doing doing some of the dumbell and body weight workouts and I am looking forward to getting them more involved with sandbags, tires, sledge hammers and logs. 

After my first "introductory" gladiator workout with a few of my atheletes, they asked me when we were going to do this again! They LOVE this stuff!

We are on Spring break right now and I can't wait to get back to school to share more of these workout with them.

I am completely spent after such a short period of time, but my body has thickened-up and a lot of my aches and pains from years of high impact sports like wrestling and football have seemed to almost disappear. 

Just for kicks the other day I did some bench pressing. I haven't done serious bench pressing since last summer when I was bench pressing 265 lbs. for a max. 

After 9 months without benching I was easily able to press 240 lbs. without a spotter.  I'm sure I could have gone heavier, but since I was alone I decided not to.

About 6 or 7 months ago I started to train steadily with Zach in an effort to improve my overall athleticism. Before this time I was training like a bodybuilder and I looked strong, but I honestly did not feel it was giving me the return in exchange for all the time and effort I spent in the gym. 

When Zach trained me, we started attacking the whole body in a short period of time, 45 minutes max. This style of training has totally changed my whole outlook on strength training! My joints no longer ache throughout the day, and I have increased my strength, speed and power big time!

I just graduated the police academy and the entire time I was in the academy I was training under Zach's guidance. I sometimes would only be able to work out once a week due to my hectic schedule, but he gave me a program to follow with out the weights, he called it farm boy training. I did these workouts in my back yard. They were short but brutally effective, helping me out perform all the other recruits, ultimately winning the PT honors award, breaking some very long standing PT records at the academy! 

 

 

I wish I used this style of training when I wrestled in high school and college & I highly reccomend Zach's training for anyone who is serious about getting serious results!

Hey Zach!

Just a quick note. Love your Ancient Training DVD! I went to the tire yard and picked up some tires for dragging & flipping. Some of my guys were interested in what I was doing and what could be done with a small tire.
Well, after showing them some of the moves and the dragging variations they tried them. My strongest player did some of the rows and presses and he loved it. Others did the dragging and their legs were toast.

Most of the guys love the grappler and strong man training that we learned from your Gladiator Training Manual more than normal weights. Best thing is more guys are working out now on the team than ever before! I have some other players wanting to train this way now as well!

I just got a tractor tire and tow ropes rigged up at our corporate fitness center.  I tried it out with our Head Trainer on Wednesday night.  Forward and reverse drags, presses, rows, hand-over-hand pulls -- it was awesome! Both of us were grinning from ear to ear, in between gasps for air.  It was the most fun I've had in a long time. 

Yesterday we rigged it up and introduced one of the other employees and another trainer to some of the exercises as well.   I can see some variation of this becoming an event at our Strongman Competition during next year's Wellness Fair.  Once I get a few more people turned on to the exercises, I'll take some photos and send for your Corporate Gladiators material.

Just a follow-up to an e-mail I sent you in April.  I started by getting into your 15 minute REAL Man work-outs and then I got your Ancient Training Methods DVD.

I, along with a few of my wrestlers, have been strength training using sandbags, sledge hammers, logs, tractor tires and body weight exercises.  I


I gotta tell you that two of my boys have increased their bench press 40-50 lbs. in the last 6 weeks and we have not bench pressed except for testing purposes! 

I myself just put up 285 lbs. and I only weigh about 140 lbs.  I've NEVER been able to bench twice my weight, not even during my college wrestling days where I was in the weight room all the time. 

Just like my wrestlers, I have not been in the weight room at our high school.  The weather has been great and almost all of our training takes place outside and lasts no more than 45 minutes and typically last only 30-35 minutes.

I have been bragging about my boys to a few other coaches and they have a hard time believing the results we get from these workouts. 

When you said that training with these "ancient methods" could get you brutally strong, you weren't blowing smoke.

Coaches are missing the boat in preparing their athletes if
they're not using these methods!

The results my boys and I are seeing are un-"dirty word"- believable!
